Joe Budden has been in the eye of the media for an array of reasons recently, but he joined Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning yesterday (August 12) to shed light on it all, including his ongoing beef with Drake among a few other things.

The New Jersey native went into details addressing the direct messages that were sent by Drizzy himself on Instagram. During the 40-something minute interview, Budden breaks down his diss tracks and the comments about Drake and his album, VIEWS.

He says, “I mean, it’s been a non-issue for me. It’s been dead for me. At this point, it’s the fans and the media keeping this going. I don’t have any more bars for him… well I do.” He then continues as he tries to wish Drake nothing but the best.

Along the interview, Ebro, Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez were also joined by Marisa Mendez, who used to co-host Budden’s podcast, I’ll Name This Podcast Later. The morning show then goes in on Budden for firing the “My Life is Tremendez” media personality over a text message. A little aggravated, Budden adds, “Next time I come here for an interview, send my manager the talk points.”

The hip-hop veteran then walks off irritated around the 39:15 mark because they spend way too much time focusing on the Drake situation and not enough time promoting his upcoming album, Rage & The Machine, which is set to drop next month in September.
