Last night, VH1 showed up and showed out with their well-received special “Hip-Hop Honors.” Part of the festivities included an incredible tribute to Lil Kim where the likes of Teyana Taylor, Dej Loaf and more paid homage to the famed femcee.

During the celebration, Kim called on her good friend Rich Homie Quan to come out on stage and help Kim perform “Get Money.” RHQ was expected to rap Biggie’s verse, but it’s safe to say that didn’t happen as planned.

Unfortunately, Rich Homie flubbed some of the lyrics in Biggie’s iconic verse and as a result, the Twittersphere went into a frenzy.

Waiting just a day later, Quan felt the need to address everyone and make it clear he was far from trying to disrespect, but instead was nervous being on that big of a platform. Can you blame him?

Check out his apology below, as well as video footage of the lyric mishap. It’s ok, Rich Homie….I think.
