“Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson reports that on April 21, 2016, at about 9:43 am, sheriff’s deputies responded to a medical call at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen. When deputies and medical personnel arrived, they found an unresponsive adult male in the elevator. First responders attempted to provide lifesaving CPR, but were unable to revive the victim. He was pronounced deceased at 10:07 am. He has been identified as Prince Rogers Nelson (57) of Chanhassen.

The Carver County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.”

UPDATE: The AP has confirmed from Prince’s publicist that the news is true. Incredibly sad. Rest in Peace Prince.

In incredibly sad news, we regret to report that the legendary and iconic singer has reportedly passed away at the age of 57 in his Estates in Minnesota. TMZ reports that Prince’s body was found at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota early this morning.

The singer had a medical emergency last week that forced his jet to make an emergency landing. He appeared to be okay following that incident as he performed at a concert the next day. Unfortunately, it looks like things took a nasty turn.

So far, Prince’s family and his Estate haven’t made any official announcements, so while these reports seem true, we’re waiting for the final confirmation. This one is going to hurt.
