Audiences will get another view of NASA when Hidden Figures hits theaters.
The upcoming original Margot Lee Shetterly book hasn’t even hit stores yet and it is already being turned into a movie. The Ted Melfin directed project is about the impact of African American women who worked actively in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration for John Glenn’s first trip into space.
According to The Wrap, Janelle Monae will play Mary Jackson making her the third lead of the film. Meanwhile, Taraji P. Henson and Octavia Spencer will be portraying her other two colleagues with Kevin Cosner as the head of the space program.
Congratulations to these phenomenal artists and look out for Hidden Figures in 2017.
