Rihanna’s on cloud 9 at the moment, and we’re all very much here for it. While herĀ Anti album has received a lot of positive reviews, she just reached another major milestone.
Following the release of the music video with Drake, the Bajan beauty just landed her 14th no. 1 single on the Billboard charts for “Work.”
Not only is this a huge accomplishment for Rihanna, but it’s also a big feat in music, as she has now broken Michael Jackson’s 13 no. 1 chart-toppers.
The only other artists with more number one’s than RiRi are currently The Beatles, with 20, as well as Mariah Carey, with 18.
Being that Rihanna is still pretty young in the game at 28 years old, we’re pretty sure surpassing them could come in no time.
Drake also has reason to celebrate the no. 1 single, as it is his second no. 1 single alongside Rihanna, who previously topped the charts with her on “What’s My Name?” in 2010.
So far, Drizzy’s biggest songs to date, “Best I Ever Had” and “Hotline Bling,” peaked on the charts on the no. 2 spots.
Congratulations to Rihanna and Drake on their huge accomplishment. Have you watched the video yet?
