Meek Mill wasted no time to start his set at Powerhouse, and he was certainly ready for action the moment he hit the stage. The Philly rapper began his set to an extra hyped up crowd, hitting them with some of his fan favorites such as “Levels,” “House Party,” and more. Meek also had some tricks up his sleeve, as he brought out A$AP Ferg, shouting out Harlem, as he went on to perform the “Work” remix, as well as “Shabba Ranks.”

Later in his set, Meek did the honorable thing and performed his song “Miss My Dawgs” as a tribute to late rappers Chinx and Lil Snupe. The audience put up their lights in the crowd making for a special moment. Some of the crowd was able to spot Nicki Minaj within Meek’s entourage, who didn’t touch the mic, but was a surprise to the audience since Meek had originally said she was unable to make it to the concert.

With her in the cut, giving her man the shine, Meek performed one of his career-breaking hits, “I’m A Boss,” before he surprised the crowd with an appearance from Rick Ross. On top of that, Rozay went on to perform a near-full set of songs, including “I’m Not A Star,” “BMF,” and “8 Ball,” as he had the stage filled with more people than your average show. Ross performed a slew of more songs, such as “Hustlin’,” and finished up by bringing out DJ Khaled for “All I Do Is Win,” and “They Don’t Love You No More.”

With a quick DJ set in between, fans had already heard rumors throughout the week that Fetty Wap was not going to be performing on the lineup, due to his healing process following his motorcycle accident just after his album release a few weeks ago. The New Jersey rapper even tweeted the day before that he would not be able to make it out.

Well, the biggest shock of the night came after Meek’s set, as the DJ’s introduced Fetty to the crowd, with him coming out on a full throne, pitching up his leg, as he did a performance all while sitting down. Even though he was unable to fully turn up, Fetty made sure to put on the best show possible, with his whole entourage surrounding him in his throne chair, getting the crowd rocking to his hits such as “My Way,” “Again,” “Jugg,” all with guest verses from his right-hand Monty, and even the new favorite “RGF Island.”

He even brought out French Montana as a surprise, who helped him turn up the crowd by performing “Ain’t Worried Bout Nothing” and “Off The Rip,” to honor his late friend, Chinx.

Fetty took some time to talk to the crowd as well, where he speaks on how he never thought his music would get him as far as it did to be able to perform for an arena crowd, and inspired those to go after the same dream if they love it. He even mentioned that he was in a lot of pain due to his leg, but that didn’t stop him from one last turn up of his set to his worldwide hit, “Trap Queen,” before standing up to salute the crowd, and then being lifted off the stage, still in his throne.

Kendrick Lamar indeed had the BEST SET at powerhouse regardless of the crowd presence he still had each and every person turning up in that arena! Fetty Wap’s persistence and determination gave us an absolutely amazing show and it made people’s days that he showed up. I was there last night and reading this article is making me live through the concert once again.
