5. Velour track-suits

Velour tracksuits were popular amongst both men and women. The unique fabric had a styrofoam effect, keeping you cool in the summer, and warm in the winter. However, like other unlikely trends, the velour suit came and went with the likes of tall tees and other hip-hop trends that did not last. Everyone from Nas to Jennifer Lopez donned a velour suit at one point, making it a fashion staple of the time.
