Rappers’ legacies never really die. If anything they continue to live. Once rappers pass, their mixtapes, albums, and slew of material allow listeners to keep their memories alive, and it’s a beautiful thing. It’s the music that allows the fans to connect with the fallen legends and relive their days all over again.

This year itself, hip-hop has lost way too many young talents, one of them being the Queens rapper, Chinx.

Chinx was paving his musical path since an early age, influenced by some of the greats of our era. Listening to artists like NWA on the West Coast and NAS in the East, growing up Chinx wanted to show that same freedom of expression that his favorite artists symbolized through their lyrics.

Fast forward from his early Cocaine Riot days, Chinx’s debut album Welcome to JFK drops in stores tomorrow, Friday, August 14 and we recently had the chance to catch up with Chinx’s manager Biggs, his two producers Blickie Blaze and Young Stokes, and Chinx’s artist MeetSims to discuss a slew of things.

We talked about Chinx’s life and what he wanted out of music, why they decided to release his new album Welcome To JFK, their personal favorite songs from the album, what to expect in the future from the Chinx brand and much more. Click the following pages to read the full interview and be sure to support Chinx’s new album on iTunes when it drops.

Rest in Peace Chinx. –Lupe Looove
