Overtime, Hip-hop and fashion have always went hand-in-hand. From rappers like P.Diddy to Run DMC, there has always been game-changing collaborations between the two.

Currently some of our favorite MCs have been teaming up with some very prominent designers, while others are starting fashion lines of their own. The entrepreneurship with fashion in correlation to hip-hop has always caught the eyes of many. Kanye West alone is a perfect example of a music artist who has forced his way into the fashion world with no regrets, which proves that hip-hop and fashion trends will always be a match made in heaven.

Hip-hop culture and fashion both tell each other’s story. Many artists dress differently nationwide and internationally, usually influencing their style of music. Take for instance the Jazz era: suspenders and long printed dresses. That style spoke through that specific genre of music. Some would say it was very conservative but fashion-forward at the same time.

Many artists today have taken bits and pieces of what is considered vintage and made it into a current trend. You can definitely see the return of the hipster style in today’s hip-hop culture. Fans and artists recycle old trends to bring new fashion and music developments that we now have today.
