Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap (2012)
“Hip-hop rules the world,” at least that’s what Ice-T states in his 2012 documentary. The former gangsta rapper makes his point by tracing the evolution of rap and its rise from urban to universal in the most honest way possible: by having intimate, one-on-one conversations with the people that have pushed it through. The film also features old and new legends including Dr. Dre, NAS, Eminem, Kanye West, Common, and Snoop Dogg.
