While T.I. has been getting deeper in his acting side with Ant-Man, he’s made sure to stay consistent with his ultimate passion: music.

Tip’s 10th album is in progress and he’s raising the bar with The Dime Trap. Originally the LP was named Paperwork: The Return since it’s a follow up of his Paperwork album.

He’s making a special effort to take a break from the mainstream limelight and go back to the T.I. he feels we haven’t heard since Trap Muzik. The “unapologetic” King of the South divulged,

“When you do those mainstream kind of ‘Blurred Lines’-ish kind of records, you don’t go and try to top ‘Blurred Lines.’ You just come to a whole new element, bring it back down and build the process back over again. I’m breaking it all down, back to the element of where my music first began to interest people, and build it all over again.”

Excited doesn’t express how we’re feeling about the new project. Although there’s no official release date yet, it’s safe to assume it may take some time with him shooting Sleepless Night with Jamie Foxx.
