Lil Wayne Speaks On Upcoming Hot Boys Reunion At First-Ever ‘Lil Weezyana Fest’
by Staff Editor
There’s no denying how much anticipation there is for Lil Wayne’s “Lil Weezyana Fest.” But for fans that have been following Wayne since his young Cash Money days, it was amped up even more when he talked about a Hot Boys reunion.
Wayne told Wild Wayne of Q93 that regardless of Juvenile’s split from Cash Money, they continued to have a relationship because of Juvie’s respect for Wayne’s talent. Even though he wrote to impress Baby and Manny Fresh, Juvenile’s support of the young Wayne built his confidence.
“I was easily discouraged when it [lyrics] wouldn’t relate to Stunna the way it would relate to Juvie. Juvie would pull me to the side and say ‘Aye. Don’t you change one word in that verse.’ He would pull me to the side and say, ‘You better than all three of us. Don’t you change one verse.'”
Turns out Juvenile was right and because of his inspiring words Wayne was happy to announce that he will be hitting the stage for the first time in over 10 years with him, Manny, and Turk.
So Lousianna, get ready to, “drop drop it like it’s hot” August 28th.
