Near the middle of this past May August Alsina announced on Instagram about undergoing an eye surgery that would improve his vision after going blind in his left eye and beginning to affect the other.

A month later August provided some details about the surgery, which fortunately for the Testimony singer the surgery helped the condition. Backstage at the Stone Soul 2015 music festival in Virginia August Alsina let all of his fans know that both “life happen” and he had a “little experience.”

After performing, August Alsina detailed his new single “Hip-Hop” and the necessity to spread positive messages music throughout. “Hip-Hop” will be from his forthcoming album, which he also details that is done and will come near the end of the summer. Check out the full interview above.
