While the lovely Elle Varner is cooking up magic for her upcoming album 4 Letter Word, the songbird has released the album’s first single titled “Birthday” featuring 50 Cent. This new ballad finds Elle and 50 trading verses about their appreciation for the ones showing them love, both mentally and physically.

When speaking with Billboard recently about the new single, Elle said, “Imagine if your lover treated you like everyday was your birthday! We captured that fun and sexy vibe on this record.” She continued, “You can certainly add this one to your go-to collection of ‘Birthday’ classics.”

The song was first previewed at this year’s SXSW festival back in March in Austin, TX and was performed by both Elle and 50 a couple nights ago (June 2) during the premiere of the second season of Starz’s drama Power, which 50 is the executive producer of.
