It’s that time of year again when sundresses, day parties, cookouts, and great music is aplenty. It’s almost Summer time, ladies and gentlemen!

The way the hip-hop/R&B industry is set up, it seems as if a woman has a better shot at being seen in the background of a music video, rather than sitting high on the Billboard charts. When talented women do manage to be successful, the media tends to bring female artists against each other, taking the spotlight away from the important stuff — their music. Why do we allow this? Well, we shouldn’t, so we felt it was only right to shed light on the amazing women in hip-hop/R&B right now. There’s a ton these days!
