Civil Court (Sports Edition): Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao
by Staff Editor
You think Manny Pacquaio isn’t focused due a commercial or two? Not hardly a fact. Manny knows who Floyd Mayweather is, more importantly he knows what his own hands are capable of.
I won’t argue that Mayweather is the currently the “best” man that can lace up a pair of gloves right now but the saying that we have continuously heard, “if anyone can beat Floyd, Manny can,” is true. Oddly Manny will have to exploit Floyd’s strength, his defense, to gain an advantage. Meaning, Manny has to and will be quick to spots to avoid Mayweather’s counterattacks. Also working to the advantage of Manny is that he is left handed, which opposes the trademark defensive stance of Floyd.
A lot of people like to flash records, nicknames and titles, being 47-0. So? The same work that Money is putting in Manny is as well, just don’t see it. It’s not always about what you see before the ring but actually what goes on inside. Mayweather is a hell of a fighter but Manny going to be the one in forty-seven and one.
