Piggybacking off of the first reason, Wiz is responsible for the way rappers are currently using social media, specifically Twitter. Wiz was one of the very first rappers to use hashtags and his grassroots marketing tactics via Twitter to create the fan base that he has today. From Mac Miller, to Big Sean, to Kid Cudi, to as recent as Logic — these artists and several others adopted Wiz’s marketing strategies following the success of Kush & OJ.
