How many rappers can you name got a $3 million record deal with Sony for him and his group off the strength of one mixtape? A$AP Rocky did just that in 2011 with his earth shattering mixtape Live.Love.A$AP., which till this day still gets its due spins. Rocky made some timeless music with that mixtape and his debut album, so who’s to say he can’t do it again? My money’s on a successful sophomore release for the Mob general.
