by Staff Editor
It’s March 9th, and everyone in the hip-hop community should know the significance of this date in history.
Today marks the 18th anniversary of The Notorious B.I.G.’s death, and every hip-hop fan around the world is remembering the late legendary rapper and his legacy. Kendrick Lamar stopped by Big Boy’s radio show in Los Angeles earlier today, and spit a mean freestyle to honor Biggie on the date of his death.
Rhyming out bars over the instrumental to B.I.G.’s famous track “The What,” which originally features a duel with Method Man, K. Dot flaunts his fast-paced flow over the beat. We can only imagine that it’s a taste of what’s to come on March 23rd, when he is finally set to release his highly-anticipated album.
