In case you missed it, TLC reached out to fans to help fund their new album so that they wouldn’t have to depend on label regulations. After getting numerous donations from fans and celebs alike the T-Boz and Chilli raised $430,000 – way more than the $150,000 they were asking for.

“Thank you to everyone who has donated to our final album!! The amount doesn’t matter but the fact that you donated means the world to us,” Chilli wrote on the Kickstarter page.

The donations reached a total of 4,201 donations in all. As a return, the artists offered things like memorabilia, movie dates and “hangout sessions” in the studio as they record their final album.

Producers like Ne-Yo and Dallas Austin have also reached out to help with the project’s production.
