Raheem DeVaughn doesn’t stray far from the music we are all accustomed to. Backed by eOne, the soulful crooner intends to dominate charts once again with the upcoming release of his fifth studio Album – Love Sex Passion.

A well-crafted 18-track project boasting romantic ballads, sensual slow jams and tunes to make you two-step into a Friday night, Love Sex Passion provides the R&B we often feel is lost amidst the new school talent. Keeping it organic with records fueled with simple instrumentation like piano, organ, drums and horns,Raheem transports us into a mind state of love whether you would like to be or not.

Led by the inspirational “Queens,” the beautifully sung ballad is reminiscent of the 2008 “Woman.” Once again dedicating his pipes to the ladies of the land, it is just as necessary today as “Woman” was then.

The singer provides a balance in the lengthy production, taming the sensually raunchy “I Miss Your Sex” and “Strip” with records like the polished ballad “When You Love Somebody” and bluesy “Baby Come Back” – co-produced by BJ The Chicago Kid. The DMV-native doesn’t withhold his frankness as he instructs his lady to “First, you take your clothes off” then enlists sly metaphors and similes to drive his point adding, “I’ll be that pipe that make it burst.”

It is without a doubt that with Love Sex Passion, Raheem DeVaughn has recaptured every facet of love – speaking to those happily in it, happily seeking it or happily lusting after it. His veteran approach doesn’t make the album any less relatable to the present generation. While it misses the radio friendly, trap infused R&B sound, Raheem’s soulful tenor draws you in and holds you captive for 18-songs straight through.

Available for pre-order on iTunes, add Raheem DeVaughn to your music library officially February 17th.
