Kanye West knows exactly how to get our attention. That ideology became increasingly obvious when the cultural innovator got up and made his way to the Grammy stage during Beck’s winning award; the entire music world thought we were about to witness a Taylor Swift part 2.

But, when Kanye got on stage, instead of embarrassing Beck to the fullest, Kanye pretended as if he was going to interrupt the musician the way he did to Taylor Swift at the MTV VMAs in 2008, but jokingly walked off to bring light to a nasty, old situation. And you know what, that was the smartest thing Ye could’ve done if he ever wants the Taylor Swift fiasco to be officially put in the past.

Fast-forward to today, Kanye called in to the On Air With Ryan Seacrest show to explain his decision to make his way to the stage. Yeezy also clarified what he meant by his comments following the Grammys in regards to Beck’s artistry, clearing the air saying that Beck is very much a musical genius. Towards the end, Ye gave out exclusive information about the “Yeezy Boost” launch and his plans for the future in regards to fashion. Did someone say, school uniforms?
