Can we expect a new project to drop this year?

G-Eazy: I think it’s safe to say I’ll drop an album this year, but I can’t say exactly when and I can’t give you the title. I’m actually recording the songs for it right now.

Who are some artists and producers you want to work with in the near future?

G-Eazy: I mean, two of my all time favorites: Drake and Kanye. If I ever got to work with either of them, it would be a blessing.

I think you’re a clear favorite to land on the 2015 XXL Freshman Cover. Are those kind of accolades important to you?

G: Accolades are important. No matter what anyone tells you, accolades are definitely important. They’re kind of like benchmarks for moments of validation. The biggest moment of validation to me though, is what the album sold in the first week because that’s the real fans going out in the real world and buying my album and believing in me and what I do.
