Coming in at the top spot, we have none other than Sam Smith. 2014 was clearly his breakout year as the passionate singer dropped hit records with “Stay With Me,” “Latch” and “I’m Not The Only One” in addition to his debut album In The Lonely Hour. To cap it off, Sam was nominated for six different categories at the upcoming Grammy awards. Sam, you my friend were the number one breakout artist of 2014. Congrats.
