For those that follow you on Instagram they know you have a distinct style. How would you describe that in three words?

Nyemiah Supreme: Diverse. Tomboy. Hair. I think hair is my biggest style accessory.

What completes an outfit for you?

Nyemiah Supreme:  I’m a huge collector of hats and sunglasses. I can wear anything like an all black T-shirt and leggings as long as my sneakers and my hat is popping then I’ll have a fly outfit on.

I saw an Instagram post about cutting your hair off, what was that feeling like sitting in the chair and finally letting the inches come off?

Nyemiah Supreme: Cutting it off, I just feel like myself coming back alive. My hair is off my head and I can slick it down. I don’t have to put a wig on top of another pile of hair, go to the Dominicans and get burnt with the blow dryer to get it straight – I just felt so free like the handcuffs were off.

What do you think short hair does for a woman?

Nyemiah Supreme:  It frees your face and it gives you freedom to be an individual. Sometimes people just blend in with the same middle part, or the same side swoop, or the same curls. I was getting tired of putting curls in my hair or being so locked into having to have a weave style to where short hair you can kind of do anything.

So if you had to give a celebrity a complete style makeover who would it be?

Nyemiah Supreme: I would say Beyonce, just hair. I really did like it when she cut it herself. I’d love to see her rocking her short-cut or whatever edgy stuff she can do with it.
