The only person capable of rectifying the situation is “Uncle Bill Cosby.” He can stand up and protect those who he’s worked with from being filed under social media scrutiny. Raven Symone doesn’t deserve to be victimized though she has spoken against the Twitter trolls who have attempted to drag her into this mess.

Bill, hiding behind your shield of expert publicists [and lawyers?] won’t make these allegations go away. Your continued closed lips will only hurt you more. They will continue to pull your shows that represented a successful, loving black family where both parents worked and worked together to support, nurture and love a bustling crop of children. They will continue to speculate on all your relationships, bringing more grief to friends, former coworkers and even family who have nothing to do with your mistakes. You are being ostracized from a world you spent your entire life living in – you are a modern day leper. And you are quiet.

Don’t you realize that whether these allegations are true or false your voice is the most powerful weapon you have? Not to say these aren’t very heavy, very scary reports. A taste of disgust is certainly left in my mouth at the thought of everyone’s favorite black TV father could commit such crimes. But I’d respect you more if you stood up and used your words rather than hide behind your army of publicists.

You are a disgraced comedian. But in your very commencement speech you spoke to the Class of 2013 and chided us for ever being C students with A student capabilities. Why not practice what you preach?
