Nicki Minaj commanded the MTV Video Music Award stage with three performances throughout the night. Kicking it off with a bootylicious “Anaconda” performance, joining Jessie J and Ariana Grande for their hit “Bang Bang” then finally teaming up with Usher for “She Came To Give It To You” – it is fair to say that the Queen Barbie did her thing. Despite the amount of work put in, the rapstress wanted to provide the best performance possible.

“I’m working on my album and this performance is the first thing I literally took off working on the album to do. It was important to me that muy fans saw a great performance of “Anaconda,'” she told Rob Markman in an interview backstage.
