Twista Dark Horse Album Cover

We are looking at Dark Horse coming in August. What sparked the title for the album?

Twista: The dark horse is like the least popular person of a group or least expected of a group to come out on top. Or the one that doesn’t get all the accolades but does most of the work. I used that terminology because I feel like I’m underrated or forgotten about until I drop a project.

You have Tech N9ne, Wiz Khalifa and Chief Keef as features on this album. Were there specific reasons that drew you to those choices?

Twista: Really just vibing with the music. The Tech N9ne [collab] is something that the fans been asking for for a minute. When me and Tech see each other, we feel the energy amongst each other to want to do music so everything was organic. As far as Chief Keef, he is from the city. I’ve been a fan of his music since he came out so I felt it was important for one of the youngest to do it with one of the OGs of the city and get it in like that. It was all organic man, just going with the flow and the creative vibes.
