Janine and The Mixtape: We’ve spent the last couple of weeks just going around all the labels. We’ve had a lot of interest. I’ve started my own record label so it’s been a partnership kind’ve venture. But other than that, just continuing. I’ve been working on an album. I have probably about 100 songs that I’m just working through. I’ve also been writing and producing,

Why did you choose to create your own imprint? 

Janine and The Mixtape: I want to be apart of the music industry and, as well as bring other people up. The great thing about having your own imprint is that you’re developing your brand and helping other people to get on which is exciting to me.

When people hear Janine and The Mixtape what do you want them to think?

Janine and The Mixtape: I want them to think of singer/songwriter/producer that’s very real and soulful.
