With a slight edit, Amy Winehouse makes the memory of a classic Billy Paul song into a dedication for Mr. Jones, Nasir Jones. While the vocal emotions between Nas and Amy Winehouse dwindled due to the singer’s untimely demise, we were left with a track in which the Queens rapper was alluded to with messages about his daughter and his September 14 birthday. On Nas last album, the duo would be heard together on the track “Cherry Wine.”
