50 Cent to Produce Movie and TV Show

50 Cent will continue to produce work behind the camera as his series Power has been renewed for a second season on Starz and he will Executive produce an upcoming movie on the B.M.F.

50’s Starz series made its debut last weekend and stars Omari Hardwick as a drug lord aiming to leave it all behind and clean his money through a night club that he owns and operates.

“Power is a project extremely close to my heart and working with Chris Albrecht, Carml Zlotnik and the Starz team has been the perfect fit for this,” 50 Cent told Deadline. “Viewers may be loving the start of Season 1 now, but Season 2 will blow them away.”

While Power will be looking to take over the small screen, 50 Cent will also be producing an upcoming B.M.F. film for the silver screen. Chronicling the Black Mafia Family, the movie will provide the story of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and his brother Terry “Southwest T” Flenory.

While there isn’t currently a timeline for the film, you can check out the next episode of 50 Cent’s series Power this coming Saturday at 9 pm eastern. In addition to 50’s work within television and film, he has recently released his new album, Animal Ambition, while reuniting his popular rap group G-Unit.
