Slowbucks Launches Civil Investigation on 50 Cent
by Staff Editor
After this past Sunday’s Hot 97 Summer Jam, Slow of rap group Slowbucks has launched a civil investigation into 50 Cent after being the victim of a live chain snatching on stage in front of the MetLife Stadium crowd. The rapper held a press conference at Bostany Law Firm, located in Manhattan’s Trump Building, in which John P. Bostany stated multiple parties would be investigated for assault and brand dilution.
Slowbucks is acting in protection of his clothing line of the same name as well as his personal brand, while refuting 50 Cent‘s claim that he did not know the event was taking place behind him.
“They know he is the founder of Slowbucks, the #1 urban brand on the rise today. They want to hurt that brand and they are trying to hurt that brand we are going to put an end to that,” Bostany stated. “We’re here, I’m a Trademark attorney, I’m a copyright attorney and I fight unfair competition.”
During the press conference Bostany also addressed 50 Cent‘s recent interview with Angie Martinez in which he stated he had no knowledge of the assault. After commending 50 Cent on his responses during the interview, Bostany shared he watched the videos and stated “his body is facing what’s going on and then he turns around, in the middle of it all, and faces the crowd.”
There is currently no word on what’s the amount of money Slow is seeking through the investigation, however he provided a hashtag-filled message on Instagram, which can be seen on the following page.
