Drake Takes A Shot at Jay Z During Raptors Vs. Nets Game

The NBA Playoffs began today and the first post-season game of the year was between the Toronto Raptors and Brooklyn Nets. If you watched closely you could see Drake on the sideline in Toronto to support his hometown team that he’s now the Global Ambassador for.
During a sideline interview, Drake showed support for the Raptors in their first return to the playoffs in six years and explained why he thinks they’ll win the series while taking a subtle shot at Jay Z, who once owned the Nets and played a role in them moving from New jersey to Brooklyn.
“It’s a red-hot revival in here tonight,” said Drake during the interview. “It’s electric. It’s the uprising, man. KG (Kevin Garnett) is frustrated, the young boys are out tonight. Who knows? You know, this is the people’s team, the Toronto Raptors. Jay Z is somewhere eating a fondue plate.”
This sounds like it could be tied in to Drake’s comment in Rolling Stone where he talked about Jay’s consistent rapping about his extravagant lifestyle. This prompted Hov to take a shot back in a freestyle to “We Made It” where he stated, “Sorry Mr. Drizzy for so much art talk/Silly me rapping ’bout shit that I really bought.”

Earlier this week, Drake showed his support of the Raptors new “#WeTheNorth” campaign which you can watch a commercial for.
