Civil Interview: Jennifer Lopez Talks Versace Jumpsuit and Shares Tips To Living Healthy Lifestyle

Definitely. Of course, it goes without saying that you look amazing in this video. What are some of your tips for staying healthy and fit?
J. Lo: You have to put in the work just like anything else. It’s about getting sleep. You can’t be running the streets all night and think you’re going to look right; you need your beauty sleep. It sounds cliché but you gotta eat right. And you gotta put your time in at the gym. You don’t have to be a fanatic of the gym but you gotta go there three or four times a week. Put in your hour and just call it a day. I stay out of the sun, I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, and that’s helped me over the years to where I’m at now.
You’re right. It’s about staying conscious of what you put into your body. Now, a lot of people are looking forward to this upcoming album. What can fans expect sonically? Will it be an extension of what you’ve given us already or something different?
J. Lo: It’s both. For me, it’s a classic J. Lo album. If you go back to my albums from the beginning, they had a combination of everything that I was on them. There was hip hop, R&B, pop, and there was a little Latin touch to them, too. Growing up Puerto Rican in the Bronx, being around all that music –that’s who I am. And this album is pretty much the same. It has more urban influence than you’ve heard in my past two or three albums, which were more pop. I love heartfelt music but I also love grimy hip-hop music, so I wanted to be all those things that I am without making excuses for them. That’s why I can have a record like “I Luh You Papi” and a record like “Emotions” or “Let It Be Me” or “First Love.” And you’ll know what I mean when it comes out. All of those things are all that I am. More than any other album, this album really represents all of who I am. Musically and emotionally.

Really dope interview Karen, thanks a million for sharing.
It’s kinda fun she semi-resurrected the Versace, but the lace-front über hair wig detracts from it.
