After 9 years of marriage and being viewed as one of Hollywood’s go-to celebrity couples, Robin Thicke and Paula Patton have announced their separation. The Blurred Lines singer and Baggage Claim actress met when Thicke was only 14 years old and married in 2005, which led to the birth of their son, Julian Fuego, in April 2010.

“We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,” the couple confirmed in a statement with PEOPLE earlier today.
