clashAfter scoring her first number one hit on the Billboard 100 charts with her eclectic track “Royals”, in addition to the fifth best selling album in US, 16 year-old sultry classical pop newcomer, Lorde is just beginning her climb to the top.

In this month’s Pop Issue of Clash Magazine, the New Zealand born artist discusses her creative experience on her debut LP, Pure Heroine and how she has some heavy hitting collabs with artists such as Pop extraordinaire Dr. Luke, and indie vocalist Ellie Goulding.

Ditching her usual full flowing curls for a more sleek and slim cover look, the chart-topping vocalist has her sights set on a special collab she feels could enhance her artistic experience.”I haven’t written for any other artists yet but I want to,” says Lorde. “Rihanna would be fun to write for because she’s done everything…It’ll be such a challenge to step out of my body.”

The teen songstress is prepping to release “Team”, another single from her chart topping album which is available on iTunes. To check out the full interview, head over to ClashMusic.com to order the complete special issue including features on Prince, The Dream, Pharrell and more.
