After his infamous twitter rant, the scuffle with a random shopper in Lenox Mall in Atlanta, among more legal woes, Brick Squad rapper Gucci Mane is back in the news again. The rapper was sentenced to six months in Jail on last Friday (Sept. 27) after a parole violation stemming from a former arrest for disorderly conduct and possession of a concealed weapon charges in Atlanta after threatening and cursing at a police officer.

The sentence comes after the peril of Gucci being dropped from his former manager and Atlantic Records which sent him into a Twitter frenzy, lashing out at industry executives, actresses and fellow artists across the board. About week later, he hopped back on Twitter to express his apologies to all that he offended and to reveal his addiction to Codeine.

“Woke up the other day out this hospital bed & I’m so embarrassed & ashamed of my behavior that was brought to my attention,” he wrote. “I just wanna man up right now & take this time to apologize to my family, friends, the industry & most of all my fans. I’m SORRY!”

Though some are still trying to decipher whether or not the series of cryptic tweets were real or ghost written, the 33 year-old rapper seems like he is seeking help to combat his problem. He is reportedly planning to attend rehab once he is released.

No comment yet from Gucci Mane and team regarding the latest news, however we do send prayers up for Gucci in hopes getting back on track.
