Pretty much, it’s not going to come out, at least not now. Credit the reason being the suits at Def Jam. Yet another project put on the (wrong) shelf because of industry politics. If Nas really wanted to, he could just drop it as a street album. That way he could release it the way he wants to thus satisfying that sector of the public who cannot get enough of Nasir’s music. Then, he could feed off the buzz it will almost undoubtedly and just tour off that.

But that won’t happen. So, like you, I will not even hold my breath.
