Roc Nation and everyone closely affiliated must be having the best week ever. Even though Kanye’s album leaked, rave reviews were met from all around. J. Cole let go of his highly anticipated Friday Night Lights mixtape which currently has Twitter on lockdown.

The label’s head honcho Jay-Z had a secret show at The Box in New York City which including a handful of circus acts including a human slinky. Beyonce and Kate Winslet were also in attendance. That’s big and odd news in itself, but even more important than that was the fact Hov came on stage and announced the biggest news of the evening.

“This next wizard is doing his thing. He’s an official Roc Nation signee. Jay Electronica!” – Jay-Z

Jay (Electronica) performed his hit “Exhibit C” and stopped the song to tell the crowd: “My mama is up there, so yall can’t tell me shit.” While on stage with the elder Jay, the following exchange went down.

Electronica: Permission to speak freely, sir?

Jay-Z: This is your show. You better get it.

The New Orleans MC who threw up the famous Roc hand gesture then went on to spit “not Illuminati, but our eye is on the money.” To top off everything, a new song between the two Jays was played entitled “Shiny Suit Theory.”
