YG on The Truth With Elliott Wilson

Last night (April 27), YG graced the stage for a sold out concert in New York City’s Irving Plaza. But before the West Coast rapper touched the mic, he met up with Footaction to talk style.

The sneaker and lifestyle company has tapped the “My Hitta” MC as part of their Style Means series, where they profile celebrities who use style to build their personal brands. “They realized a dude had swag and that West Coast style,” the 24-year-old Compton native said. “They filmed me all day yesterday and will release my documentary in a couple weeks. They like my swag so we linked up, connected and we’ve been having conversations about where I get my style from and all that. ”

Rocking some Footaction duds, the rising rapper can describe his style in just one word: “L.A.”

With the project underway, he was able to give some insight as to which celebrity sneaker he was a fan of the most. “The Yeezys are probably the hardest shoes. I fuck with them. And Pharrell’s shit, the Ice Creams, too.”
