May 5 (5/5/14) seems to be the release date for Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V, according to a statement made by Drake  in New Orleans last night during an NBA All-Star Weekend performance. According to a conversation between Drake and our own Karen Civil, the project is already 6/8 songs in.

Drake announced Carter V is dropping May 5th! When we spoke yesterday he mentioned they were 6/8 songs in already.
