Courtney Noelle Fooled

Courtney Noelle has finally gifted the world with her own full project.

Love on the Run is for the tough girls looking for love but scared to fall head first once again. “They’ve been hurt, they’ve been scared, they get disappointed time after time and now they’re just searching for it,” says Taylor Gang’s official first lady. “When you don’t trust and you’ve been hurt, you run from it even when you find it.”

Battling her own fear, the Pittsburgh native has had a back-and-forth affair with her love of music. Before hitting the stage, she channelled her creativity through poetry that would eventually become songs that caught the attention of Universal/Motown records, where she turned down her first record deal at 17 years old.

“I didn’t feel like I was ready. They offered me an internship there so I could learn a little bit more about the music business and just kind’ve get my feet wet.”

Instead of spiraling into a career she wasn’t prepared for, Courtney fine tuned her songwriting and recording skills until she was ready to enter the music world full throttle. She landed herself her first recording deal with Brookland Entertainment. Fate would later have it that she’d link back with childhood friend and Taylor Gang general, Wiz Khalifa, who signed her to his imprint in 2010.

“We were all a group before Taylor Gang became a label. A lot of our friends went to Taylor Allderdice [High School] and we liked Chuck Taylors,” she explains. “We made music together and Wiz at the time was killing the mixtape game, but we didn’t really take it serious. Once he became successful and decided to turn Taylor Gang into a label, we were the first people he reached out to to be apart of his label.”

With Love on the Run continuing to gain buzz, the singer-songwriter is ready to debut the visuals for her mixtape’s single. “My single ‘Fooled’ is my absolute favorite and it is everybody’s favorite.”
