Billboard Breakdown – Oct. 19
by Karen
2. Adele – 21 – 110,575 – Unbelievable for two reasons. One, she’ll be 4x platinum next week. Two, well, you know what the other one is.
9. Lil Wayne – Tha Carter IV – 45,189 – This looks to have a permanent spot at the top of the charts. That said, here comes the next wave of YMCMB records (Birdman, Drake and Nicki).
11. J. Cole – Cole World: The Sideline Story – 32,828 – C’mon, Cole. Just give us the “Nobody’s Perfect” video. And find a way to have Missy in there.
13. Jay-Z & Kanye West – Watch The Throne – 21,854 – Creeping up on a million copies sold. And that G.O.O.D. Music compilation will be here by the time the weather gets warm again.
40. Bad Meets Evil – Hell: The Sequel – 10,228 – That “Lighters” song with Bruno Mars is catchy whether you want to admit it or not.
100. Game – Red Album – 4,497 – This is damn near 200,000 sold which is good considering how this was promoted. In other news, I saw Game on Access Tonight or one of those shows with Mario Lopez promoting the album. Can’t knock the hustle, I guess.
149. Kelly Rowland – Here I Am – 3,366 – I hear she’s naked in her new video. Actually, I’m about to go check that out right now.
