The numbers everyone has been waiting for are finally in.

1. Kanye West – My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy – 496,000 – Going gold in a week is never a bad thing, but you have to believe ‘Ye was expecting a little bit more. Regardless, he’ll eventually find his way to platinum. He’s already basically shot videos for every song on the album with the “Runaway” film, but a visual for “Blame Game” would be dope.

2. Nicki Minaj – Pink Friday – 375,000 – For a debut, Nicki must be thrilled with these numbers. Depending on the mood she wants the album to take, she has a few choices for the next single. “Moment 4 Life” with Drake deserves a push though.

6. Rihanna – Loud – 141,100 (341,000) – The fact Nicki outsold Rihanna in one week is kind of crazy to me. However, Rihanna has always been a consistent seller and I’m almost sure she has at least two more singles which will get her far past gold.

24. Eminem – Recovery – 48,000 (3,053,000) – The year’s highest selling album continues to break down barriers as Marshall officially cracked the triple platinum plateau this week.

25. Lloyd Banks – The Hunger For More 2 – 44,000 – It sucks to see these numbers seeing as how the album was a quality release. This will guarantee more shows, which is where the money is at these days anyway. The record with Jeremih could potentially get him some spins. And a video for “Start It Up” would be crazy if everyone’s schedules permitted.

29. Lil Wayne – I Am Not A Human Being – 37,000 (511,000) – This record continues to carry Weezy until his next big project crash lands on Earth. No Ceilings 2? Dedication 4? Who knows. Something tells me to expect something big from Wayne before the end of the year is over. Walking out of Rikers and having your album (which came out two months ago) go gold can be considered “big” as well, but I’m talking new music.

83. Curren$y – Pilot Talk 2 – 14,000 – With no radio play or videos on cable TV, these numbers were to be expected. Either way, it’s money in Spitta’s pocket and all but guarantees a new round of tour dates and more cash to support his “habit.” Regardless, he needs to continue to work with Ski Beatz. That’s a must. This album definitely shows that Curren$y is becoming more and more comfortable in his sound. Pilot Talk 3 is looking really good.

164. Yelawolf – Trunk Muzik 0-60 – 5,000 – Pretty much what I said for Spitta applies here. It was great to see one of the better mixtapes of 2K10 find a retail release. “Daddy’s Lambo” is a crazy. I just wish Interscope would get behind it and pray they show more confidence in his future releases.
