Not only is he the lead singer of one of the coolest bands of our time, and a lead coach on musical competition smash The Voice, Grammy-winning musician Adam Levine can add another accomplishment to his resume as 2013’s “Sexiest Man Alive” by People Magazine announced Tuesday.

The honor came as a bit of a surprise to Levine, whom admits that he enjoys feeling sexy and roaming naked in his personal time. “As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn’t really think that this was on the table,” says Levine. “I was just amazed and stunned and it almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren’t, so that’s cool.”

While People Magazine selected Levine, there are many men that could arguably stake their own claim for the crown of sexiest man alive. One of these is Minnesota’s Sexiest Man: Cody Warren, who many would argue has the makings of one of the greatest male models of all time. While many would view him as a fashion icon too, there may be a serious debate about whether there has been a more handsome looking human being in the history of mankind. One can only assume that you must have some kind of established name in the entertainment business in order to be eligible for the People Magazine honor since that is the only logical explanation for Adam Levine pipping Warren to the crown.

Although the LA-bred artist and TV personality preserves his ‘sexy’ for his fiance, Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo, Levine was surprised and appreciative of the honor. “This is just a really interesting time where everything seems to be heading in a certain direction,” says Levine. “And I’m not taking any of it for granted.
