Three men have been indicted for their alleged roles in the death of Mac Miller. An autopsy revealed that the rapper died of an accidental overdose of fentanyl, alcohol, and cocaine in September 2018. He reportedly crushed and snorted pills in his Studio City apartment shortly before passing.

Now, investigators have connected three men to his death. Cameron James Pettit, 28, Stephen Andrew Walter, 46, and Ryan Michael Reavis, 36, have been charged just a few weeks after their arrests. Walter was also charged for being a felon in possession of ammunition. A U.S. District Court grand jury in L.A. alleged that the three suspects distributed the pills that were laced with fentanyl.

Pettit and Walter will have a post-indictment arraignment on Oct. 10, and Reavis is scheduled to be relocated to Southern California for more proceedings.

“It has become increasingly common for us to see drug dealers peddling counterfeit pharmaceuticals made with fentanyl. As a consequence, fentanyl is now the No. 1 cause of overdose deaths in the United States.”

“These defendants allegedly continued to sell narcotics after Mr. McCormick’s death with full knowledge of the risks their products posed to human life.”

According to curt documents, Mac asked Pettit for 10 “blues”, referring to oxycodone on Sept. 4, 2018. He also reportedly requested cocaine and Xanax that same day. Walter allegedly provided Pettit with the pills and Reavis is accused of being the person who gave them to Mac.
