After the live Instagram conversation between Nicki and Megan, the two collaborated on the song along with Ty Dolla $ign. The thought of Nicki collaborating with another female rapper was mind-blowing and excited to see. In addition, the news was shared all over the blogs, talked about among fans and of course the barbs.

According to Variety, Nicki Minaj recorded her verses after the conversation and expeditiously sent them over the next day.

“I hadn’t even spoken to her before. So, it was just so natural. She was amazing. She was so sweet…I couldn’t even believe she did it that fast,” stated Megan.

Produced by Juicy J, the song’s success debuts on the Rolling Stone 100 and projected to be listed as Top 10 on the Billboard Hot100 of next week. According to TMZ, the video for Hot Girl Summer was interrupted by the police last Friday due to lack of paper work.

Luckily, Megan, Nicki, and Ty were able to finish the scenes in Mount Olympus, Los Angeles that same night. So, we can expect to see a Hot Girl Summer music video very soon!
