In a recent interview with PAPER Magazine, 21 Savage opens up about staying positive throughout the past year. In the article entitled “Don’t Stop Talking”, the Atlanta rapper talks about how he has stayed positive throughout hardships.
Reflecting throughout his life, 21 speaks on how certain situations shaped his outlook on positivity. “I stay focused on moving forward and not letting stuff put me in a hole or make me feel depressed.” In his music, songs like “Numb” from ‘Issa Album’ and “Real Nigga” from ‘I Am > I Was’ both speak on how he turned a negative situation to something positive.
Earlier in February, the “a lot” rapper was arrested and detained by ICE for violating the federal immigration laws. Many fans and artists rallied against ICE to release the rapper, with Roc Nation coming to his aid with a legal defense. Since his release, the rapper has been spreading positivity through his charitable work and recent interviews.
