Rapper, Juelz Santana (also known as LeRon Louis James) has turned himself in to begin his 27-month sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Petersburg, Virginia. In August of 2018, the Dipset rapper pleaded guilty for his possession of a firearm and carrying a weapon on an aircraft. In December 2018, Santana also pled guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Santana recently married his longtime girlfriend Kimbella and is on the current season of Love and Hip Hop NY. The rapper has expressed his thoughts on the show about his sentencing with his wife and his children.

Santana did face up to 10 years in prison but was able to work out a plea deal for 27-months.
