2 Chainz just confirmed that his highly anticipated fifth studio album, RAP OR GO TO THE LEAGUE, A&R’d by LeBron James, will be dropping on March 1st.

Apple Music came out with the first two trailers for 2 Chainz x LeBron James RAP OR GO TO THE LEAGUE , today (Feb. 21). The trailers features an exclusive in-depth conversation between the two in their respective fields. As long time friends and fans of one another, 2 Chainz and LeBron represent the true intersection of music and sports.

The title RAP OR GO TO THE LEAGUE is supposed to represent the common fate of black men— the only way out of the inner city is either to become a rapper or a ball player. In the trailed 2 Chainz explains that he did both, earning a full ride to play college basketball and graduating at the top of his class, and later becoming the superstar rapper he is today.

2 Chainz upcoming album will be his first official new full-length project since his platinum #1 release of 2017, Pretty Girls Like Trap Music.
